Good Morning

My youngest brother, Freddy, recently joined a club soccer team, and for those who don't know how that works, soccer practically takes over your weekends. So this morning, I had to drive Freddy to his game at 6:30am (I don't think I'd woken up at that time since I got out of high school). I obviously dragged my older brother, Elias, with me. We packed up our cameras, stopped and got coffee, and headed down to La Jolla after dropping Freddy off at the soccer field. Elias and I walked around the beach sipping and snapping- the weather was perfect. I don't know how this always happens but we always, somehow, end up wearing boots at the beach (or converse, or sperrys, anything BUT flip flops). People that have interacted with both Elias and me probably think we are twins. We dress the same, enjoy the same things, love the beach, listen to the same music, and even look scarily alike (unlike Freddy). Anyways, we put our pictures together and since it was early, they came out super vibrant. The beach is my favorite place to take pictures at, have you noticed?
Happy Saturday!

NorCal Road Trip

4 best friends, 2 days, 941 miles- the most perfect weekend. I've never been much of a spontaneous person, so the fact that I packed up my stuff and drove in the middle of the night to Sacramento was a strange thing! Carly, Kat, Amanda, and I, became best friends our first year at college. Due to certain reasons, Amanda moved back home to Sacramento and Carly decided to enroll at a community college here in Newport Beach. The last time us four had all been together was May 9th, the last day of our freshman year of college. Needless to say, we were going through separation withdrawals. So on January 30, Carly, Kat, and I, drove up to Sacramento visit Amanda. Everything worked out perfectly. On Friday we drove to San Francisco (which Carly had never been to) and we hit all the main spots: The Presidio of San Francisco, The Golden Gate Bridge, Pier 39, Market St., and we even rode in the cable car! On Saturday, Amanda made us all eggs and waffles and we hit the road to Lake Tahoe! It had just snowed at Tahoe so there was so much snow and it was absolutely beautiful! We drove up to Donner Lake and then went to the Northstar Ski Resort and rode the Gondola up to the Ritz Carlton hotel! We got pizza to go and we headed down into town and went night sledding- SO MUCH FUN (we couldn't feel our fingers or faces for the next couple minutes, but it was so worth it). C'mon, we only had two full days, we had to take advantage of them! This weekend road trip was great; I think we all needed a girls weekend. Coming back from the trip, I realize how truly blessed I am for these girls to be in my life- it's a forever type of friendship and I couldn't be more thankful.
